If you've spent more than a few hours playing around with preset delay patches, then you realize that there are not that many good free options out there. Most presets are limited to 30 seconds or less, and if the delay is longer than that it's usually more expensive than your typical paid plug-in. That means if you want to experiment with patching up long delays of more than 330ms or so, you have to pay for them. Luckily, Time Works Reverb 4080l.v1.062. rar is a free download that comes with a bunch of long delay presets. The downside? It doesn't come as a standalone, you have to load it as an effect in your DAW's native effects rack. But the upside takes care of this minor inconvenience: The presets can be tweaked, time compressors and noise generators can be added to the wet signal, and the wet/dry mix ratio for each preset can be adjusted easily via a fully variable wet/dry control. The presets are organized into folders which make it easy to find the type of delay you are looking for, ranging from vintage ultra-short delays to lush tube-based long delays. There are also separate folders for adaptive noise and glitch effects. There isn't a preset that I haven't found myself using on multiple occasions, most notably the 'Hall' preset which is not only easy to tweak but also sounds great when run at high gain. The noise generator is one of the best free tools I've ever come across in terms of making unpredictable yet musical noise jams embed in your mix, although some users have reported some undesirable side effects when using this effect too heavily.
